Social

Our social commitment

At Abra, our social commitment starts with connectivity. In Latin America, aviation is a key driver of access to opportunity, healthcare, education, trade, and community development.

By connecting people, territories, and markets, we support inclusion and regional social and economic progress.

These social contributions are presented independently from the Group’s environmental impacts, including greenhouse gas emissions associated with aviation.

Our commitment in action

Connectivity as an important component of infrastructure in many regions

We expand access across Latin America, connecting people and markets to essential services and opportunities.

Economic footprint at scale

The aviation sector contributes an estimated USD 46.4 billion to the regional economy. We support local economies through job creation, stronger supply chains, tourism, and aviation-enabled regional growth.

Voluntary social programmes

Beyond operations, we mobilise community solidarity at scale through Banco de Millas, Instituto GOL, and our volunteer network. We deliver high-impact initiatives through volunteering, miles' donation programmes, and strategic partnerships that support long-term community value. These voluntary programmes reflect our commitment to contributing to sustainable development across the markets we serve in Latin America.

Regional solidarity

We leverage our network to support humanitarian logistics, including the transport of medical supplies, organs, tissues, and healthcare professionals where they are needed most.

A workforce of 30,000+ aviation professionals

We launched a Group-wide wellbeing and belonging strategy in 2025, with Avianca achieving Aequales gender equality certification and GOL recording an 82% reduction in severe cases through its mental health programme.

Customer promise: reliability, accessibility, and value at scale

Our customer approach rests on three principles: operational reliability, ensuring punctuality and service continuity; accessibility, reducing barriers to air travel and broadening connectivity; and consistency, delivering a clear and predictable experience while respecting each brand's identity and local context.

In 2025, GOL was recognised by Cirium as the most punctual airline in Brazil — a direct reflection of our reliability commitment.
